I just finished reading "Evidence of the Affair" by Taylor Jenkins Reid on my Kindle. I think it's part of the owner's library or maybe free on Prime, I can't recall.
Anyway, the story is very easy reading and sort of grabs the reader emotionally and although it ends in a way I didn't see coming, it was good in the sense that it stirred up some stuff in my head and now I can sort it out and maybe put it to rest instead to continuing to stuff it all.

I read this book a few weeks ago and it stayed with me. I am a voracious reader and any book that stays with me is a bit rare. I also recommend.

LOL, I just read what I wrote and it’s gibberish. But I didn’t want to say too much and give away the ending.
Anyway, I haven’t been able to read a book since my life exploded so when I saw this, I decided to give it a try because it’s short. Glad I did.

SPOILER ALERT
DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER
SPOILERS AHEAD
I had a totally different reaction reading this book. Maybe it was cathartic for the author. I'm glad it was free.
This is my opinion only:
It was sucky in that it did NOT portray *discovery* & the aftermath accurately at all, in a way that related to what I experienced in terms of devastation and betrayal and levels of deceit and my reaction to my finding out about LTA of the man I'm married to.
There seemed to be no deep to the very core of your being sense of betrayal, no *nothing* except how the two main characters "handled" knowing their spouses had an A.
Also, I could tell where this story was going, as soon as the BW and the BH started more than basic info-sharing--it started getting to a *you're so wonderful" personal vibe...
AND when they decided to meet in person, you could see the writing on the wall on where this was headed.
Gee, the two BS become Mad Hatters (are they Mad Hatters if their WS don't know?) and yeah, the BW gets preg by the BH. No surprise there. The narrative was that it was a big deal that she couldn't get preg by her WH.
BW finds out that her WH's A is just the latest A he's had, etc etc he disparaged her in a letter and so they D and she moves across the country to be near her family and raise her love child.
